		<description>Absinthe is illegal in the U.S. but the plant wormwood is legal. You can buy the leaves at health food stores.

BTW, Chronicle Books is the venue for this event but they&#039;re not the publisher. The book is distributed by University of Washington Press.

		<description>Good luck on your book launch. I like Chronicle books and I&#039;m looking forward to this one as well. Just a question regarding the previous post on wormwood -isn&#039;t that actually absinthe and illegal as well as poisonous? I believe that it used to be drunk with cubes of sugar; if you look at some of Degas&#039; paintings, he shows that with his drinkers in Paris cafes.</description>
